Round-up of Laptop and Notebook deals (hide your credit cards!)

We've already mentioned the Dell XPS M1730 specials, and the World of Warcraft special edition. But those are for a specific market segment, namely those who wish to spend $3000+ on a notebook computer.

Unfortunately retailers do not take Monopoly money at the moment, so let's take a look at some other affordable models for the rest of us!

It's a Dell World!
If you use your notebook a lot of time, and a large chunk of that time is at home or at the office, then you will find it a lot more comfortable if you are using a bigger screen, especially if you are the multitasking type or the multimedia type. One such display is the Dell E248WFP 24" Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor. Coupon code: 18ZSF3$T576SSX.

Next we have two Dell Inspiron specials that end on April 3rd, 2008, so don't sleep on them for too long! These two coupons are following the "spend more to save more" mentality. If you plan to spend over $1300 on Inspiron laptops, you can save 30% with this special offer, Dell Coupon Code: LG4SRSV8S2KCV0, which expires on 4/3/08.

If you plan to spend more than $1000, you can save 25% on Inspiron laptops with coupon code: L3S0KX1RF42WV1. Get inspired with the Inspirons :)

Dell for your Small Business!
Apart from the Home and Home Office notebooks mentioned above, Dell has a couple of specials that expire on April 2nd, 2008, for small business business-class laptops!

Not all businesses out there are swimming in money you know, you can equip your employees with practical and functional laptops for under $500: The Vostro 1000 is featured at $429 and as the model name suggests this is the entry level model. But it's by no means a slouch! If you are not familiar with the V1000, here are the basic specs: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core TK-57 (1.9GHz/256KB) processor, 1gb ddr2 memory, 80gb hard disk, 15.4" widescreen XGA with anti-glare, XP Home (Vista haters will love this), double layer dvd burner, ATI Radeon® Xpress 1150 256MB HyperMemory™ (integrated), Dell Wireless 1395 802.11g Wi-Fi Internal Card, and such. Not bad for a laptop that starts at $429. Of course you can also "have it your way", and configure it to best match your needs.

And if you want to give your employees with attitude some ...latitude, consider the Latitude D531 featured at $579! This has a dual core Athlon processor, 15.4" widescreen, 120gb hard disk, 2gb RAM, dvd burner, and such. Be sure to check the Dell site for more details and also to configure it to your needs.

Your face is your password, after rebate
If you do not hate rebates with a passion, we have a Lenovo laptop for you! Again, this is only for those who are keen on the whole rebate submission and tracking process. The offer? The Lenovo 3000 Y410 Notebook for $650 after $150 in mail-in rebates. Rebate expires 3/31/08. The notebook is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo 1.5GHz processor, and has 2GB DDR2 memory, 160gb hard disk drive, dual layer dvd burner, a 14.1" WXGA Integrated, wireless, built-in webcam , and Vista HP (Home Premium). This includes the Veriface technology, where your face is your password. Be sure not to let the thieves steal your face :)

If you love big screens on laptops
If you are a fan of 17" widescreen displays on a laptop, we have one for you for $740 via Tigerdirect. Please note this is a refurbished laptop. The guilty party? The HP Pavilion dv9628nr. Apart from the big screen (for a laptop that is), you get number crunching power via the AMD64 X2 Dual-Core 1.9GHz processor. No need to bring an elephant with you, you get a 2GB DDR2 memory, a 240GB hard disk drive, and a dual layer dvd burner. Other features include wireless, built-in webcam, and Windoze Vista Premium. But that's not all, be sure to check the Tiger website for more details. NOTE: This is refurbished!!!

What about Sony fans?
Okay Sony fans, we have something for you as well! The Sony VGN-FZ240E/B VAIO FZ Series is offered at $1000 with free shipping and "handeling". This Vaio has a 15.4" widescreen display, 250GB Hard Drive, 2GB DDR2 SDRAM memory, built-in web camera and Vista Home Premium. This is just the tip of the ice-berg, there's a whole lot more, so be sure to head on to J&R World to check it out.

Of Apples and Oranges
And we close with something for our readers who are sick and tired of Windows and PCs and more Windows and more PCs mentioned in this blog. This is for you!
