Three laptops in the Sunday paper ad by Fry's Electronics

A trio of laptops are featured in the Sunday newspaper advertisements of Fry's Electronics.

We start with the Sony Vaio offered at the tempting price of $600, but this is a no-rainchecks, one-per-customer type of a deal, so consider it like winning the lottery if you find it. This laptop features a 15.4" WXGA screen, Centrino Duo T5450 processor, 2gb memory, 200gb hard disk drive, dvd burner, wireless, and Home Premium. Not bad considering it has the magic "Sony Vaio" brand name! If you can find it... The model name is not mentioned in the ad, but it does have the Fry.com stock number, which is #5546020.

Back down to reality, we find the HP Pavilion dv6755us at $700, after a fifty dollar mail in rebate. This is a one per customer laptop and offers the feature you'd expect from this price range, such as 2gb memory, 250gb hard disk, dvd burner with lightscribe and such. The other specs include a Centrino Duo T5450, 15.4" widescreen, wireless, and everyone's favorite Vista Home Premium :)

Last but not least, we find the Fujitsu a6110-1467, offered at $850, but only for those who are brave enough to submit the two mail-in rebates of $50 and $100 each. So the out-the-door price is $1000, but once you submit, track, receive and cash the rebates, then your effective price will drop to $850.

But enough of the rebatology, how about the specs please? The processor is also a Centrino Core 2 Duo T5450, with 3gb of ddr2 memory (yes, three gigabytes), 200gb hard disk drive with shock sensor, double layer dvd burner, 15."4 Crystal View wide display, wireless, built-in webcam, spill resistant keyboard, and Vista HP.

PS> By Vista HP we mean Vista Home Premium, not HP as in Hewlett Packard!
